This is the teaser site for Dairə. It can take one thing from you — the e-mail address you type into the “Notify me” form yourself. Apart from that, we see overall statistics of visits. Below is what is kept, what is not, and how to have your address removed.
The “Notify me” list
If you type your e-mail address into the form and send it, we add it to the list. Each entry holds:
- your e-mail address;
- the time you sent it;
- the language of the page (Azerbaijani or English);
- the date of this text, which you agreed to.
Your name, phone number, IP address and browser details are not written to the list.
What we use your address for
To tell you when Dairə opens and, after the launch, to write to you about what is new in Dairə. We do not sell your address, hand it to anyone for advertising, or combine it with other lists.
Every e-mail we send you will say how to leave the list.
Where it is kept and for how long
The list is kept in a database at the site’s hosting provider (Cloudflare). The database is separate from the site’s files: it cannot be opened from the site’s address. The provider only stores it for us. We may also keep a backup copy of the list ourselves.
Your address stays until you leave the list or we close the list.
Leaving the list
Write to the address below at any time and we will delete your e-mail from the list and from our own copies. You can also ask whether your address is on it.
After it is deleted from the list, your address may remain for a while in the history the provider keeps for restoring the database; the provider removes it on its own schedule.
Protection against abuse
When the form is sent, the server derives a short tag from the IP address to count submissions from one source. The tag is not the IP address itself and is the same for thousands of different addresses — the address cannot be recovered from it. The counter covers the current hour only: the first submission of a new hour erases the previous one.
The form also has a trap field that people do not see. Only automated programs fill it in, and such a submission is not written to the list.
Visit statistics
To see how many people visit the site, we use the hosting provider’s (Cloudflare’s) visit statistics (Web Analytics). The provider itself adds its small script to the pages. The script measures which page was viewed, which site the visit came from, the country, the type of device (phone or computer), the browser, the operating system and how quickly the page opened.
The script sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser and does not try to recognise you individually. The measurements are sent to the site’s own address; according to the provider’s documentation, the IP address is discarded while they are processed and is not stored. In the provider’s dashboard we see only overall numbers — we do not see who visited. There is no advertising pixel and no other tracking script.
The site is served from the provider’s network, so the technical details of every request (its time and address, the IP address and the browser’s name) pass through its servers. The provider uses them to deliver and protect the site and keeps them under its own rules.
Cookies and browser storage
The site keeps nothing in your browser: it sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage. Whether the sound is on and how many secrets you have found are remembered only while the page is open.
“Save as a postcard” creates the picture on your device — the picture is not sent anywhere.
Fonts, images and the site’s own scripts come from its own address; the only thing loaded from another address is the provider’s statistics script.
The hosting provider protects the site from attacks. If it considers a request suspicious, it may show a check page and set its own cookie for that check; no such cookie is set on an ordinary visit.
